A Strange Tale

Can you imagine me with fringe? I can't.


But I went and got me some fringe. And I look so completely different. To the extent that I find it a tad too girly ... for my behaviour ie. Cos I am rugged / tomboyish in every sense ... the way I walk ... the way I talk ... So with the fringe, my face looks ... ... G.I.R.L.Y. *roflmao*

BTW, Jnr just came up to me ...

Jnr: Mummy, what happened to your hair?
Me: Why you ask?
Jnr: You look strange.
Me: *LOL!!!* I cut my hair hair short. *pointing to my fringe*
My Mum: Now your mummy looks like small girl. Why want look so matured?
Me: *roll eyes* Excuse me, I'm already 32 and NOW you want me to look like a small girl.

OMG!!!! Jnr had hit the bull's eye!!!! I do indeed look strange with my new fringe. Too strange to be comfortable with it. Luckily I hv 3 days to get used to it before showing it to the world. But I am starting to regret it.

Now the Empress Dowager wanna put curlers to me fringe so it'll not be dead flat on my face. *rolls eyes*

2 Weeks

It's been 2 wks since I started my new job. It started real slow cos no one knew the exact specs of my job tasks. So I was practically doing nothing. Thankfully, the Management was away on a retreat in the same wk, so I had "premission" to surf internet.

Come the 2nd wk, the Dean had a meeting with me and the ball started rolling. It seems like my department is a newly formed one. Therefore the College has yet to "find" my boss (aka Associate Dean). But now, he has been found and will only come in officially on 1 June. So meanwhile, the Deans has assigned me to his office ... as a Girl Friday.

Ok, it was a tad disappointing initially. But it's better than "shaking leg" (aka doing nothing and almost fel alseep LOL!!!!). Besides working in the Dean's office can help me have a better understanding of the College than slowly working my way around.

But 2 days after the Dean's meeting, I was called up for a meeting with my new boss. With that, I was given my 1st assignment. AYE!!!! But I couldn't start on it until I finished a task from the Dean's office which is due on Wed.

Who wud hv thot that my 60yo mum can have so much patient & determination to repeat playing scrabble until she managed to used up all the letters??!!

And she did it three times within a day.
