Something Good

***********************************
Perhaps I had a wicked childhood
Perhaps I had a miserable youth
But somewhere in my wicked, miserable past
There must have been a moment of truth

***********************************
The last time was in April 2008.

Now it was on the auspicious Leap Year. And it ended on a happy note.

***********************************
As per the usual practice, the whole office gave me a farewell card.

When I read the messages at home, I teared a little. Cos what was written was ... just me.

One the messages mentioned my "loud projections" which took me a while to figure it out. In laymen terms, it simply meant I have a strong loud voice (quoted from my P1 report book).

A few labelled me as the "lunch bell". *cheesy grin*
One mentioned my "bullying" her.

I am so gonna miss all the fun I had there.

***********************************
For here you are, standing there, loving me
Whether or not you should
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good

Then right before she left, this Snr Asst Manager gave me this - Victoria Secrets Hand & Body Lotion ... which I didn't expect at all. Cos we were not that close. Yet we shared one sisterly group session a few days earlier. (Thank you HL.)

Just last week, my now-ex boss & manager gave me $40 Takashimaya shopping vouchers. So today off I went in search of something ... esp a pair of shoe & a tote/handbag ...

After checking out everything, I decided to spend the vouchers childishly. These will be added to my collection of beanies.

On the way home, I passed by Isetan and saw these two pairs which I spotted earlier at a very steep price. Since I was given a second chance, I probed further and found out they are at least 20 bucks cheaper.

Altho the price is still on the high side (esp compared to my budget), and a gf ever mentioned that this is one comfy brand, worth the price - itti & otto. On top of that, I doubt I will be in town anytime soon, I decided to take a gamble and buy them

Too bad, their red heels is a tad too high for me. O'wise I'd grab that too.

Nothing comes from nothing
Nothing ever could

So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good
